MSc palliative care scholarship application announcement

The African Palliative Care Association in partnership with King’s College London invite applications for scholarships to pursue the MSc palliative care tenable from Makerere University, Kampala Uganda. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be admitted to the MSc Palliative Care from Makerere University for September 2024 entry
  • You must meet all the admission requirements for the program.
  • You must provide well-articulated and insightful responses to the scholarship application questions.
  • You must demonstrate academic excellence, typically reflected in your previous academic records.
  • You must possess relevant professional experience that supports your application and aligns with the goals of the program.
  • You must be proficient in the language of instruction (e.g., English or French) 
  • You must present 2 strong letters of recommendation from academic and/or professional references.

Note: We strongly encourage applications from people working in the the field of palliative care in children and young people, although these scholarships are available to those working with any age group. 

Application Process:

  • For the MSc:

Applicants to the MSc programme should apply through Makerere University the application portal can be accessed via this URL link https://admissions.mak.ac.ug 

French-speaking applicants may apply through their respective universities.

Interested candidates whose applications meet the criteria and provide well-articulated responses to the questions will be shortlisted for an interview.

  • For the scholarship:

Submission Deadline: June 30th, 2024. Please ensure that your application is complete and submitted by the deadline to be considered for a scholarship.
